A tool that my brother showed me: http://www.pivotaltracker.com
So far have only been using it today, but it feels nice and simple. So far, would recommend.
I use WinRus to set up my phonetic keyboard (prefer layout 2)
Ура! Теперь я опять могу печатать на Русском… по Русски. Блин, потихоньку забываю родной язык… обидно слегка.
So it’s official. LGA is a ghetto. Low ceilings, crowded waiting area complete with arcade machines and a wire banging against the window immediately outside where I am typing up this post, it feels… Soviet version of shabby, although I am sure that that’s only because my idea of what is both shabby and Soviet has been perverted by luxury of living in the US (and I am not being facetious, credit: my older badass cousin who took a trip to Uganada to get the linked photo).
But one thing is is positively definitely clear – Boingo is awesome. It’s a service that costs $10 bucks a month and works in pretty much everywhere where people have internet access partnerships. So far: all airports I’ve been at (not too many, but a decent sample) and an occasional Starbucks. I am positively impressed
A new free tool I discovered today for Vista: http://isorecorder.alexfeinman.com/isorecorder.htm
Burn ISO images onto a CD/DVD.
I was installing drivers and software for the C905 Logitech webcam. When I came to the end, there is one big button: “Restart”. I am in the middle of stuff, so I don’t want to restart. Exit button is grayed out. So I just do Alt-F4 thinking that that will just close it. And my system just restarts. Of course, all the stuff that was open was indiscriminately closed. Why would you do that? Logitech, that was a bad decision. Please fix this.
For the record, generally I am happy with the quality that C905 provides. The software could be a bit better, but it’s a good quality product… and I’d recommend it if the developers had a little more respect for the customers.
Not only was I screwed by CreditReport.com on them slipping in a subscription charge, but it looks like either they sold my email address to spammers or their data center has been compromised. Whom should I tell this?
Oh, and if you have a class-action lawsuit, let me know and I’ll gladly join. Details below…
